Frustration . . .

While there is nothing I'd like to see more than our government working properly, resolving issues of importance to the American people, in a non-partisan fashion for the betterment of all, I fear that this is, in actuality, impossible. The partisan divide, which began with the presidency of Barack Obama (read McConnell: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.") and continues today, in an even more toxic fashion (if that is imaginable), with the presidency of Donald J. Trump. The reasons for the current situation's dire prognosis are varied and many, but the point is that we do our country and our population no service by perpetuating the current political situation. Both 'sides' must either work together on government (and not waste precious time choosing sides about petty, superficial topics brought to our attention by small, superficial personality flaws) or we must take necessary action for which provision was made in the U.S. Constitution and simply 'get back to business.'

Emergency disaster relief that is provided for the short term and is not a cash payment
Limited immunizations and testing, and treatment of symptoms of communicable diseases
Certain community programs, such as soup kitchens or crisis counseling, as specified by the Attorney General
Limited housing or community development assistance to those already receiving it in 1996
These are the only circumstances under which illegal immigrants can lawfully receive government assistance. Notably absent from this list is any type of Social Security benefits. To repeat: Illegal immigrants cannot legally receive Social Security benefits, and Congress isn’t about to vote on legislation that would change that.
Of course, some immigrants who are here without legal permission do end up receiving Social Security and other benefits, through bureaucratic mistakes or through deliberate fraud. . ."

. . . somebody in the government put an end to the current farce that has been staged for the benefit of ill-equipped citizens who are sick and tired of what goes on behind closed D.C. doors.  I, quite frankly, am both insulted and embarrassed that the chief executive of my country is not only unable to speak two consecutive coherent sentences, but either cannot, or refuses to read (and therefore, learn) anything, and I, as an American, can only sit back and watch. . . and cheez, is there a LOT to watch. . .
