More on. . . "this about a very young, at the time, gentleman whose effervescent personality exuded youthful unpredictability and enthusiasm for life. The music, at least I believe, makes a sincere attempt to capture that unpredictability, in its melody, chordal and rhythmic structure.". . .

". . . A spokesman for Signet Classics which currently publishes 1984 said sales have increased almost 10,000 percent since the inauguration and moved noticeably upwards on Sunday. That's when Counselor to the President Kelly Anne Conway appeared on Meet the Press. When host Chuck Todd challenged the Trump administration's assertions about the size of the Inauguration Day crowd, Conway responded by saying that the administration had " alternative facts." . . . That phrase drew a lot of attention. . . On CNN's Reliable Sources, Washington Post reporter Karen Tumulty said "alternative facts" was a " George Orwell phrase." Expanding on that idea in an interview today Tumulty said it reminded her of the double speak found in 1984 where "war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength." . . ."
. . . this about a very young, at the time, gentleman whose effervescent personality exuded youthful unpredictability and enthusiasm for life. The music, at least I believe, makes a sincere attempt to capture that unpredictability, in its melody, chordal and rhythmic structure.
Yes folks, we're here. We've reached the point where our president's most pressing issue is a non-issue. . .

". . . There’s this constant theme to undercut the enormous support he has,” Spicer said of Trump.
. . He said the Republican had repeatedly been underestimated by a media landscape that constantly second-guessed him. . . “And it’s unbelievably frustrating when you’re continually told it’s not big enough; it’s not good enough. You can’t win.”. . ."
First of all, still unbelievably, he already won. (Remember the election.)
Second, it's time for this young man (pick one, Trump or Spicer) learn what every OTHER seven year-old has to learn . . . You can't always have it YOUR way (read: pretend that the facts do not exist).

". . . I looked on with disbelief as he spent countless early morning and middle-of-the-night hours following the election on social media, broadcasting a steady stream of petulant, insecure, incoherent messages instead of preparing to do a job he was ill-equipped for and seemingly not all that interested in. . . assemble(d) a Cabinet of billionaires and bigots, of people woefully unqualified to steward our children, our safety, our healthcare, our financial stability—and that I was horrified by it all. . ."

"Just following up on the GREAT music you all did for us at PV last fall, and wondering if I could talk you into doing another two this year: June 2 and October 7?
PLEEEEEEEESE!!!"
. . . this songwriting stuff. Well, maybe that's a bit melodramatic. The song Blood Brother was written at a time in my life when I was actually forcing myself to be as prolific as possible. The rationale was to write in as many styles and genre as I could, no matter how good or bad, to build a body of work (again, good or bad) and learn, one-about writing and two-about where my strengths (if I had any) and weaknesses were. Blood Brother was loosely modeled on Dixie Chicken, a composition I always admired for its simple, concise, ironic story and its funky, catchy, swampy, Louisiana-drenched music. It's no Dixie Chicken (by Little Feat), but I learned much about the genre which is still a great favorite of mine. It also reinforced my knowledge that a decent musical composition transcends musical style and can be adapted to multiple arrangements. OHO is currently working towards our next studio album offering which will include our take on this tune. Stay tuned . . . meantime, here is solo piano workout on Blood Brother, just for fun.

'. . . “I think it’s a dangerous game to chase every new outrage,” said Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii, a new member of his party’s leadership. “We’re going to have to make the case that voters were sold a bill of goods and this is a hard-right president and hard-right Congress.” . . . The party cannot, Mr. Schatz added, “get distracted by the latest shiny object.”. . . '
