". . . On Friday, when asked why he doesn’t vigorously criticize Kim's human rights record, Trump expressed an interest in preventing a nuclear attack. . . "You know why? I don't want to see a nuclear weapon destroy you and your family," he said. . ."
That 'interest' or 'concern' never entered his mind when he called Kim 'Rocket Man'.

". . . (U.S. Secretary of State Mike)Pompeo said on Monday Washington would impose new penalties if Tehran did not make sweeping changes, including dropping its nuclear program and pulling out of the Syrian civil war. . . The people of Iran should stand united in the face of this and they will deliver a strong punch to the mouth of the American Secretary of State and anyone who backs them," Ismail Kowsari, the deputy commander of the Sarollah Revolutionary Guards base in Tehran said, according to the Iranian Labour News Agency.

". . . ‘How much longer does the country have to, to borrow a phrase, endure this nightmare?’. . . (James) Clapper (former director of national intelligence) said he worries about Trump’s access to the nation’s nuclear arsenal and questioned the president’s fitness for office. . . “It’s hard to know where to start. It’s just so objectionable on so many levels. You know, I toiled in one capacity or another for every president since and including John F. Kennedy through President Obama and I don’t know when I’ve listened and watched something like this from a president that I found more disturbing,” Clapper told CNN’s Don Lemon in an interview just after midnight Wednesday morning. “Having some understanding of the levers of power that are available to a president if he chooses to exercise them, I found this downright scary and disturbing.” . . ."
. . . I'm not sure how the U.S. qualifies to direct the world in this, and many other, matters except for the fact that we have the ability, and if it is up to many current Republicans also the will, to blow just about anybody away that we choose . . .
. . . so what's wrong with an agreement and a little optimism ?. . .
(from http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/iran-nuclear-talks/iran-nuclear-deal-n390461)
". . . The president spoke after Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif called the agreement a "historic moment" and a "win-win solution" with the potential to usher in a "new chapter of hope" in relations. . . Both Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry billed the agreement as critical to averting broader conflict, with Kerry telling NBC News that "Israel is safer" as a result — but Israeli officials insisted it would have the opposite effect. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the deal gave Iran a "sure path to nuclear weapons," while Science Minister Danny Danon called the accord "dangerous for the entire free world." . . . However, the EU's chief negotiator said the terms were "balanced" and respected the interests of "all sides." . . . It involves limiting Iran's nuclear production for 10 years and Tehran's access to nuclear fuel and equipment for 15 years in return for hundreds of millions of dollars in sanctions relief. However, the sanctions would not be lifted until Iran proves to the International Atomic Energy Agency that it has met its obligations under the deal. . . "

Voted YES on $156M to IMF for 3rd-world debt reduction.
Vote on an amendment that would transfer $156 million from foreign military financing to the Highly Indebted Poor Countries [HIPC] Trust Fund. The HIPC Trust fund is designed to help debtor countries pay off the money they owe to multilateral agencies such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Voted NO on cooperating with India as a nuclear power.
Congressional Summary:US-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act:
Approves the US-India Agreement for Cooperation on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.
Declares that it is US policy to prevent the transfer to India of nuclear equipment, materials, or technology from other participating governments in the Nuclear Suppliers Group or from any other source; and
any nuclear power reactor fuel reserve provided to India for use in safeguarded civilian nuclear facilities should be commensurate with reasonable reactor operating requirements.
Approval of this agreement undermines our efforts to dissuade countries like Iran and North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. By approving this agreement, all we are doing is creating incentives for other countries to withdraw from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

Voted YES on deterring foreign arms transfers to China.

Prohibition of ownership and control of any business registered as a manufacturer or exporter of defense articles or services
Removal of all licenses relative to dual-use goods or technology
Prohibition of participation of any foreign military sales

On this issue, then, Sanders isn't far off from your average liberal Democrat. He's generally skeptical of the use of force, but willing to endorse it in very narrow and limited cases where he thinks it could save lives or advance American interests. That doesn't make him a warmonger who is "to the right of many liberal Democrats," but it is a notable divergence in his reputation as a champion of the left and challenger of the Washington status quo.
Sanders supports a two-state solution, one for Israelis and another for Palestinians. While he can be critical of Israel, he does not refrain from criticizing Palestinians as well.
"The Palestinians must fulfill their responsibilities to end terrorism against Israel and recognize Israel’s right to exist," Sanders said in a 2013 Playboy interview. "In return, the Israelis must end their policy of targeted killings, prevent further Israeli settlements on Palestinian land and prevent the destruction of Palestinian homes, businesses and infrastructure."

. . . says Ann Coulter, claiming yesterday that: - radiation is actually good for you - that the current situation in Japan of partial meltdown of nuclear reactors is really not a bad thing - that the opinion of the preponderance of the scientific community should be ignored because SHE (bless her pea-pickin' little heart) cited several studies claiming the benefits of radiation
. . . and the reason that we're all going off half-cocked about the nuclear situation in Japan and re-evaluating our use of nuclear energy, and showing concern for the Japanese population is (of course), because of the (Duuuh da da Duh) LIBERAL PRESS!
What a woman! She can minimize a tragedy, the scale of which the world has not seen, the fate of millions of people, the future of an alternative source of energy and untold heartache. . . all for some airtime and a chance propagate the continuing conservative backlash based upon false accusation, oversimplification and sparse FACTS.
I'm sorry I wrote this if only to add a little more attention to this pitiful 'entertainer'.
