Hot Air . . .

(from https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-says-feds-are-totally-prepared-hurricane-florence-n908596)
". . . Asked what lessons he had learned from the federal response to Hurricane Maria's devastation of Puerto Rico, Trump said that his administration's handling of that effort was an "incredible unsung success.” . . . He continued the remarks Wednesday morning, tweeting that, "We got A Pluses for our recent hurricane work in Texas and Florida (and did an unappreciated great job in Puerto Rico, even though an inaccessible island with very poor electricity and a totally incompetent Mayor of San Juan).". . . A recent study estimated that nearly 3,000 people died in Puerto Rico in the first five months after that storm hit — a 22 percent increase in deaths compared to previous years. . . The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, called Trump’s comments Tuesday about Maria "despicable.". . .
the crisis is still ongoing, that the infrastructure in the island is still very weak, tens of thousands of homes have blue tarps or blue roofs, and that rates of suicide or attempts have risen dramatically in the aftermath of the storm. . ."

Currently. . .

. . . that is about 6:15AM EST, on Wednesday. . .

The National Weather Service website said, "The storm system impacting the Midwest will shift into the northeast U.S. on Wednesday, bringing a plethora of weather hazards. Heavy snow, especially in the central Appalachians and northern Mid-Atlantic, strong winds, coastal flooding and rough seas are a few of the weather hazards which may lead to dangerous travel conditions, localized power outages and property damage."

Funny how one's perception of WEATHER (among many other things) changes with age:

At 6 years of age -  the more severe the forecast, the better.  Bring it on.  No school. YEAH!!

At 16 years of age - severe forecast, could get a day off,  will miss band practice,  have to make up missed schoolwork.

At 26 years of age - driving to work is going to be a bear.

At 36 years of age - schools are closed.  Who's going watch the kids.

At 46 years of age - driving to work is going to be a bear.  Hope the kids drive safely.

At 56 years of age - snow, wind, floods, power outages and property damage - let's move SOUTH.

BTW, at 10:49PM EST, all we got was rain.  Haha.  Oh well.

Storm. . .

. . . cloud
We're all hunkering down and the news (our beloved media once again) has informed us how much water, toilet paper, batteries, milk, fruit juice, bread and many many more things that would never occur to you to purchase before a storm or for any other reason, for that matter.

What would we do without them.

Thinking about it all. . .

. . . and and doing very little about it . . .

Rick Perry's philosophy of abstinence for all homosexuals; Yani Tseng taking the golf world by storm; Hurricane Irene, a literal STORM which will have a large effect on the entire east coast this very weekend; preparing another music release and all the exhilaration, stimulation, appreciation, enjoyment, satisfaction, heartache and rejection that comes along with THAT; a concert gig at a vineyard being eagerly anticipated; the economy and (hopefully one day) a retirement; getting enough sleep. . . HOW CAN I with all THIS to think about????
