Good . . .

. . . news. . .

". . . Florida beachgoers banded together Saturday to save a family from drowning. Roberta Ursrey and her family were at Panama City Beach when she noticed her sons were too far from shore, The Panama City News Herald reported. The boys were screaming, so Ursrey and her relatives swam to them, but became trapped in a rip current. . .Thankfully beachgoers noticed the family struggling and banded together to form an 80-person human chain, AP reported. . . Starting with the children, the rescuers towed the swimmers along the human chain and pulled them to shore, the newspaper reported. . . “I am so grateful,” Ursrey told The Panama City News Herald. “These people were God’s angels that were in the right place at the right time. I owe my life and my family’s life to them. Without them, we wouldn’t be here.”. . ."

Town . . .

. . . of Milton . . .

". . . Located at the head of the Broadkill River, which enters Delaware Bay, the Milton area was first settled in 1675 by English colonists and founded as "Head of Broadkiln" in 1763. It became important for shipbuilding. The town was known by renamed by the Delaware Legislature in 1807, in honor of the English poet John Milton. The Delaware General Assembly passed a charter on March 17, 1865 that recognized the Town of Milton as a municipality. . . History and Milton's shipbuilding heritage remain very important to the town, which is home to some of the finest Victorian and Colonial architecture in Delaware. Many of the homes have been restored to their original form, particularly those on Union and Federal streets. . . Milton has 198 contributing structures listed within its Federal Register Historic District. Significant buildings and sites are the Lydia Black Cannon Museum, the Governor James Carey home, the Chestnut Street Cemetery, and the Governor David Hazzard Mansion. The Hazzard House and Gov. James Ponder House were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The Milton Historic District was added in 1982. . . "

Super . . .

. . . size is a word that I remember from back when our children were younger, although in our defense, we really didn't feed them very much fast food.  But the term came to mind when considering the substantial edit I made to the music in the video Dotted Line since the video stopped way too short of the audio. It worked out alright.  But I thought I would now present Dotted Line in its complete length as performed that day.  .  .

. . . just because I can. . .

Song . . .

This song began as an 'attraction' song, then became an 'infatuation' song later evolving into an 'obsession' song.  I think it can now legitimately be called a love song. A forty year-old transcription of the song hangs over my baby grand and its namesake continues to grace my life.

All . . .

. . . I can do is LAUGH . . .
. . . about this totally midguided bunch . . .

(from http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/12/politics/trump-prayer-photo/index.html)
". . . President Donald Trump, who has remained out of public view since returning from Europe late Saturday, welcomed evangelical leaders into the Oval Office on Monday for a prayer session. . .Photos posted by some of the invitees show the group surrounding Trump and laying their hands on his shoulders as his head is bent in prayer. . . The picture was posted by Johnnie Moore, a former senior vice president at Liberty University, a large evangelical university in Virginia. It also showed Vice President Mike Pence, with his eyes shut, participating in the Oval Office prayer session.
Others pictured in posts from the Oval Office included Jack Graham, the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, and Michele Bachmann, the former Republican congresswoman from Minnesota. . . Moore, reached on Wednesday, said the meeting happened after a number of national faith leaders were invited to meet the President as they met with representatives from the Office of Public Liaison. . . Evangelicals, like Moore, believe deeply about praying for the President. And the faith leader said that the group -- after a "lighthearted visit among friends" -- ended the meeting in prayer. . ."

Wildness . . .

Traveling down to the Congo
Flying 'round Amazon way
Natives are playing the bongos
Listen to what they have to say
You know I'm ready for love
And I thank my lucky stars above

She's all dressed up and there's no place to go
But she's a Wild Woman
She's got a secret so nobody knows
That she's a Wild Woman
She won't pretend to be something she's not
And I don't have to need her
'Cause she's something I've got

Swinging from cocoanut branches
Swim with the crocodiles too
But late at night she romances
What is a helpless boy to do
I've seen it a thousand times before
You get hit in the back with the slamming door

She's all dressed up and there's no place to go
But she's a Wild Woman
She's got a secret so nobody knows
That she's a Wild Woman
She won't pretend to be something she's not
And I don't have to need her
'Cause she's something I've got

She's just a lady
And you can count on that
A little shady
But she'll get up to bat
You think she's crazy
But she can smell a rat

I've seen it before let me tell you
Maybe I'll see it again
Maybe I'll learn something from this
About how to lose and how to win
It's not a good thing to lose your cool
And be forced to say something out of school

She's all dressed up and there's no place to go
But she's a Wild Woman
She's got a secret so nobody knows
That she's a Wild Woman
She won't pretend to be something she's not
And I don't have to need her
'Cause she's something I've got
