Always . . .

You've always been ahead of me;

One fact that I,
In my infinite wisdom,
Could not always see.
But in the end you always convinced me
Things aren't always
What they appear;
The things I've always looked for.

Once long ago, before we met,
I thought I could
Singlehandedly make the
Spinning world go away;
Just like some king
from back in those bygone days.
But I was wrong.
I don't belong
Inside this category.

Seemed to be,
At the time to me,
To my advantage.
Missing why,
Not knowing
When to try
To start believing
In my very own
Self determination.

Sometimes at night when I'm alone,
The solitude
And the quiet can bring out
All the worst in my head.
But now it seems that isn't so big or bad.
I've learned a thing,
Or maybe two,
And just ahead there’s always you.

Tubing . . .

I create original solo instrumental - and occasionally including a 'virtual' ensemble - piano melodies that are unique, fluid, refined, rhythmic and feature jazz-inflected improvisation. I also contribute to the OHO musical collective. My ten recorded releases (from between 2003 and 2016 - see https://store.cdbaby.com/Artist/RayJozwiak) contain positive, infectious music that can be enjoyed through active listening or simply used for background. I have come to the realization that my personal taste in music (as well as most other things) does not fall in line with that of the public in general. I demure from usage (or acceptance) of the word ""genius"" when reference is being made to an artist or entertainer (athlete, novelist, statesman etc.) I laud anyone who creates art (entertainment) from their very own personal experience and will defend its validity as a wholly human prerogative. Everything really is negotiable
Though your initial look may betray
So big and frig
owhtening they may appear
Your dedication and intellect take the day

There's one thing you have to remember
You mean so much to me
That's one certainty
When concerns become burdens
Please know I'm the one you need to see
I will always be available
No matter how far life removes you from me

There's no necessity for extreme bravery
