you receive 'about 173,000,000 results'

Essentially, all you get, over and over again- is:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident ...

The requirement for this job would appear to require A LITTLE BIT MORE than merely these. . .
(the requirements for my last job were much more involved than this)

Hindsight . . .

The recent recall election in Venezuela has given us a disturbing preview of what may be in store for the United States in November: an election result held in doubt by many of the voters that took part in it. A cloud hangs over Hugo Chavez's reaffirmation as Venezuela's president, despite a thumbs-up from international election observers. The source of the scepticism is a new technology that was supposed to take inaccuracies out of elections: touch-screen balloting. . . Even though the electronic equipment used for Venezuela's election was designed to leave a paper trail that could be audited, the opposition suspects some kind of electoral foul play may have been written into the system's software, limiting the number of "yes" votes on the recall. . . As far-fetched as this may sound, it underlines one thing: a democratic system is only as strong as its participants' belief in its validity. When voters' confidence in the accuracy or fairness of the system is eroded, the system itself is undermined. . ."

Writing. . .

Letters . . .

Dear Mr. Trump,
Writing this on your own level, just to ensure you understand my meaning. I write this without malice, although since I have descended to your level, I do believe that the inclusion of some malice is probably a requirement in the interest of authenticity.

Paraphrasing the late Frank Zappa, 'Donald Trump! Donald Trump, what's got into ya'" You obviously lead quite a grand life. You certainly do not have to worry about funds, although in light of your non-existent interest in transparency-you're probably not as rich as you would like us to believe, they are there in abundance to aid you in practically any pursuit you may choose. But PRESIDENT???!!! . . . of the United States???!!! You could have gone to some small, semi-democratic province in maybe the South Pacific or southern hemisphere and tackled that at the peril of a much smaller population with less notoriety (not to mention power) with which to be concerned. . . but the UNITED STATES???!!! . . . SUZY CREAMCHEESE!!!

Your intentions, however, are another matter still. And this, I only say, because of the wisdom, knowledge and certainty you appear to exhibit in all matters relating to government, justice and people in general. . . which is clearly none at all. In fact, I have made the acquaintance of many an inebriated patron of the local saloons in my area through the years, who exhibit a much better grasp on the political and societal subtleties involved in the office of President of the United States.

So, in order to avoid the danger of overstating (and over-staying) my case (and my welcome), may I just say to you, "Bravo!" You have done an admirable job of arousing some 'sleeping' citizenry and have clarified the need of our present civil servants to question the status quo and the modus operandi of governmental bodies while also managing to entertain. Ah, entertain. I'll bet even you have forgotten that that, I suspect, is the real reason you started this in the first place, and I as well. So, in closing, may I say that I wish you all the best. . . in your ENTERTAINMENT career and hop you have the good sense and foresight to do something drastic, such as, withdraw from the Presidential race in the best interest of the entire country . . . but most importantly, in the best interest of YOURSELF!

Why do I have to hear, see, read about Donald Trump every day as if he really is a serious, viable, candidate for president of the United States of America? Because of our wonderful press - gawd bless 'em!

Did Jake Tapper ask Trump to provide empirical evidence of maybe an example or two of instances where he (Trump) could prove that the statement he had just made was, in fact, accurate?

Broken. . .

". . . This is what they came to Washington to do -- to break the government of the United States. It doesn't matter any more whether they're doing it out of pure crackpot ideology, or at the behest of the various sugar daddies that back their campaigns, or at the instigation of their party's mouthbreathing base. It may be any one of those reasons. It may be all of them. The government of the United States, in the first three words of its founding charter, belongs to all of us, and these people have broken it deliberately. The true hell of it, though, is that you could see this coming down through the years, all the way from Ronald Reagan's First Inaugural Address in which government "was" the problem, through Bill Clinton's ameliorative nonsense about the era of big government being "over," through the attempts to make a charlatan like Newt Gingrich into a scholar and an ambitious hack like Paul Ryan into a budget genius, and through all the endless attempts to find "common ground" and a "Third Way." . . ."

Person?. . .

When it comes to constitutions, the application of law, and common sense, the Supreme Court of the United States could learn a thing or two from President Judge Debbie O’Dell-Seneca of the Washington County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.

O’Dell-Seneca overruled a previous decision that sealed a settlement between a Mount Pleasant Township family and large energy corporations, which caused the family harm because of fracking on an adjacent property to their own. The Observer-Reporter and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette pressed the suit, which ultimately decided the public’s right to be informed outstripped the corporation’s right to privacy.

In fact, O’Dell-Seneca went much further than that. The judge asserted corporations have no constitutional rights:

“...the constitution vests in business entities no special rights that the laws of this Commonwealth cannot extinguish. In sum, [corporations] cannot assert [constitutional privacy] protections because they are not mentioned in its text.”

“...it is axiomatic that corporations, companies, and partnerships have no ‘spiritual nature,’ ‘feelings,’ ‘intellect,’ ‘beliefs,’ ‘thoughts,’ ‘emotions,’ or ‘sensations,’ because they do not exist in the manner that humankind exists… They cannot be ‘let alone’ by government, because businesses are but grapes, ripe upon the vine of the law, that the people of this Commonwealth raise, tend, and prune at their pleasure and need.”

Despite the mainstream media’s blackout on any reporting that calls into question corporate personhood, this recent decision is an important victory for our movement.

CELDF (Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund) Executive Director Thomas Linzey writes: “The ruling represents the first crack in the judicial armor that has been so meticulously welded together by major corporations. And it affirms what many communities already know -- that change only occurs when people begin to openly question and challenge legal doctrines that have been treated as sacred by most lawyers and judges.”

Laws follow culture and the legal system adjusts as society's views shift. This case illustrates that we are collectively beginning to change hearts and minds about the appropriate role of the corporation in society, even amongst those who are entrenched in the current system.
