Dreams . . .

I'm a dreamer. Not the kind that is fully and constantly immersed in visualizing wonderful things for myself and the world. I simply dream dreams when I'm asleep at night.  I refrain from attempts to read any deep psychological meaning into any of these dreams. My belief is that my brain is simply relieving itself of extraneous data which may have been referenced recently, and that the ideas, people, places, times and incidents are purely random and indiscriminately mixed to produce this potpourri of images. Either that or that the brain is simply working overtime to aid in the digestion of some particularly challenging item that I consumed during the course of the day. 

One such recent image involved my 'thrashing' a 'bully' that I encountered at my 'place of employment' (note: " '. . . ' " denotes dream-produced items). I am not a violent person and do not have such dreams on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, I have generally avoided any such physical confrontations in my life. In any case, the dream produced an anxiety in me which affected my remaining hours of sleep. I seriously injured the 'bully' but felt terrible about it. But in my heart, I knew he deserved it. I also knew (and will remember) that the next time I am presented with nachos supreme late in the evening, I must approach them with considerable moderation.
