Almost my own epidermis.

Sustenance that I require;
Desire.

Professed undying devotion to
Each other then. Back in the past.
No single trace of dissatisfaction.

Mystery one not to be solved. 
All circumstances still suspect.
No rocket scientist 
Needed to read all the writing
On the wall.

And if someone drives you to a clinic or checks you in for the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy, your cranky neighbor or office rival might take the new opportunity to collect $10,000 for turning you in. Voting will be harder for lots of people, and you could be jailed if you send someone an unsolicited absentee ballot application. You'll be able to carry a gun without a license or training, but if you are homeless you can be fined $500 for camping in an unapproved public space. This is the new Texas, and it's a social conservative's heaven. "The Church of Satan . . .  does not espouse a belief in Satan as an entity who literally exists, and (Anton Szandor) LaVey (who established the church in 1966) did not encourage the worship of Satan as a deity. High Priest Peter H. Gilmore has stated "My real feeling is that anybody who believes in supernatural entities on some level is insane. Whether they believe in the Devil or God, they are abdicating reason." Gilmore defines the word "Satan" as "a model or a mode of behavior", noting that in Hebrew the word means "adversary" or "opposer", which can be regarded as "one who questions." Gilmore describes Satanism as beginning with atheism, and taking the view that the universe is indifferent: "There's no God, there's no Devil. No one cares!" LaVey sought to cement his belief system within the secularist world-view that derived from natural science, thus providing him with an anti-theistic basis with which to criticize Christianity and other supernaturalist beliefs. He legitimized his religion by highlighting what he claimed was its rational nature, contrasting this with what he saw as the supernaturalist irrationality of established religions. . ."

Rich . . .

Southward bound
A latte grande on the seat
Between my legs.
All around,
I see the saints,
I see the dregs.
And the byproducts of civilization
Enter, exit from stage left, stage right.

Another monument 
To the elusive and mysterious
Honolulu Harry, 
The richest man I know.
Honolulu Harry,
The richest man in this life 
Or the next.

Through the town,
Sometimes with baggage,
Some without,
Making a livelihood.
Up or down,
Any direction that you choose
And among the fast foods, strip malls and traffic, 
There’s that name again as plain as day.

Harry was certainly rich,
But it only was money.
Very few liked him that much.
Now it seems kind of funny.

Just the sound
Of his name spoken with respect
And reverence that’s owed to him,
Brings to mind
Beneficence 
Without a peer.
And it warms the heart to think of the thousands
Harry helped, but not while he was here.

Broken . . .

Just when I thought my little 
Empire would never be conquered.
I was invincible. 
Went from the frying pan
Right into the fire.
Now I don’t care at all.
I’m one smooth operator,
But standing two feet tall;
Was like some great dictator.

Damn the coffee. 
Damn the sugar. 
Damn the colonies.
Where’s my future?
What awaits me?
I don’t want to be
Napoleon of broken dreams.

So when I got myself
A taste of that glorious power.
It was intoxicating.
The more I took became
The more that I wanted. 
But soon the thrill was gone.
Wanted to meet my maker.
I’ll pay for what I’ve done 
Just like that great dictator.

Could be people like me
Should be alone.
Nothing is ever enough;
Enough for this eccentricity.

It’s said, by nature, that a
Man can become territorial.
And I’ve been known to do it.
Simple offense became 
An outright obsession.
I got my just desserts.
Maybe I’ll see you later.
But still it could be worse
Just like that great dictator.

At a very high level, most NFTs are part of the Ethereum blockchain.
