Cowboy . . .

. . . justice

Cowboy justice
Is just exactly what we need.
Twice as effective
As mercy, now for which they plead.
If I can't get you
To see things the way I do,
Something happens.
I start the process. see it through.
It's what I've been taught to do.
And I'll teach you.

No one tells me
Just what I can or cannot do.
My advisors,
Some, say are keepers of this zoo.
I don't mind if
You think that what they say is real.
I'm in charge here.
At least that's how they make me feel.
That's a part of the deal,
And it came true.

Gotta see it my way.
I'm giving the people what I want.
It's a price I must pay.
We cowboys know how to be gallant.

There's no question
Of right or wrong here to debate.
Disagree though,
You'll be subjected to the hate
That's inflicted
On members of the team like you.
Cause we cowboys
Will never worry if we're few.
Our justice is true.
Make no mistake.

Trials . . .

. . .  and tribulations . . .

Dear Entertainment Booking Person,
Thanks for your response. As I said, we do not post videos of covers with respect to intellectual property issues. I presume you have listened to the audio demo I sent and have seen the videos of some of our original material. As far as 'videos of things', we appear just the same whether performing covers or originals. . . While OHO does not perform any covers by the Crash Test Dummies, Rodeo Clowns, Jason Mraz, Eagles, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Maggie Rogers, OAR, Jake Owen or Lee Brice, we do cover items from the catalogs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Foster The People, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Steelers Wheel, Steely Dan, Tom Petty, The Hollies, Paul Simon, Roy Orbison, The Mavericks, The Cure, Yardbirds, David Bowie, Donovan (to name some) - music that, while for the most part precedes SOME of the former, still evokes wide acceptance and appreciation. . . I understand the decision is yours and appreciate your taking the time to discuss this.  I would just hope that you remember, you should never underestimate your clientele. . . All the best to you,

Honolulu . . .

Southward bound,
A latte grande on the seat
Between my legs.
All around,
I see the saints,
I see the dregs.
And the byproducts of civilization
Enter, exit from stage left, stage right.

Another monument
To the elusive and mysterious
Honolulu Harry,
The richest man I know.
Honolulu Harry,
The richest man in this life
Or the next.

Through the town,
Sometimes with baggage,
Some without,
Making a livelihood.
Up or down,
Any direction that you choose
And among the fast foods, strip malls and traffic,
There’s that name again as plain as day.

Harry was certainly rich,
But it only was money.
Very few liked him that much.
Now it seems kind of funny.

Just the sound
Of his name spoken with respect
And reverence that’s owed to him,
Brings to mind
Beneficence
Without a peer.
And it warms the heart to think of the thousands
Harry helped, but not while he was here.

Can't . . .

https://www.irishcatholic.com/removing-religious-oaths-an-attack-
on-pluralism-says-td/

. . . say enough about TRUTH

(from https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/FMfcgxwKjTMPqRKwtnTVNnHfRJDjRtdC)

". . . not only liberated himself from truth, he liberated others to tell their lies or spread his — and reap the benefits. His party’s elders did not care, as long as he kept the base energized and voting red. Fox News didn’t care, as long as he kept its viewers glued to the channel and its ratings high. Major social networks only barely cared, as long he kept their users online and their numbers growing. Many of his voters — even evangelicals — did not care, as long as he appointed anti-abortion judges. They are “pro-life,” but not always pro-truth. . .

. . . That is why it’s vital that every reputable news organization — especially television, Facebook and Twitter — adopt what I call the Trump Rule. If any official utters an obvious falsehood or fact-free allegation, the interview should be immediately terminated, just as many networks did with Trump’s lie-infested, postelection, news conference last week. If critics scream “censorship,” just shout back “truth.”. . . "
