He then performed an exaggerated Italian pronunciation of his own name. . ."

". . . Right-wing extremists killed more people in 2018 than in any year since 1995, the year of Timothy McVeigh’s bomb attack on the Oklahoma City federal building. . . ADL’s Center on Extremism, which has aggregated data going back to 1970, shows that over the last decade, a total of 73.3 percent of all extremist-related fatalities can be linked to domestic right-wing extremists, while 23.4 percent can be attributed to Islamic extremists. The remaining 3.2 percent were carried out by extremists who did not fall into either category. . ."

(also note it does say 'right-wing extremists' and NOT Republicans)

Competition . . .

We would offer what we do best
To whomever needed or wanted it
Without recompense
And in turn would
Receive what we needed (or wanted) most
Without cost from those that could provide it

No one would covet
What they did not need
No one would desire
More than they actually needed
All would readily offer help
To those in need
Not because of a mythological eternal reward
But simply because it is the correct thing to do

I'm just not sure which
Is it Sunday or Saturday?
Or maybe Monday?
It really doesn't matter at all
And not because I do not care!
It's because regardless of what
The calendar says
This day is brand new
And beautiful
And brings with it the promise
Of many and new opportunities
To live, love, create, enjoy, ruminate
Or, conversely, do nothing
Absolutely nothing
In any case, it's beginning now
As you can see
And I intend to make the very best of it
As I will do again tomorrow
