Fine . . .

. . . line

It’s a fine line I walk
Between here and insanity
It’s a fine line
Like a good wine some care
And some love must be taken and given
Like a good wine
I don’t know where it’s gonna come from
I only know that when it gets here
I may care or I may not
It just depends upon which side
Of the line that I’m on

When it’s my time I want
To be free of these cares and these worries
When it’s my time
I don’t when that’s gonna happen
Not really sure I want it happening
Any time real soon
It just depends upon which seat
That I take in the room

Do I really know what I’m asking?
You tell me I’m thinking too much
How can someone question the feelings
You haven’t allowed them to touch?

When will I find the things
That I’ve searched all this valuable time for?
When will I find
Just a thin dime will I take
For a glimpse of the depths of my soul
Just a thin dime
It’s not exorbitant to ask for
It’s one small price to have to pay
To get a piece of someone’s life
A good investment I can say
Because I know that it’s mine
It’s a fine line

Fine Line

Shouts . . .

Shouts in the street
I hear them as I'm walking home
Shoes on my feet
Touch down and take off as I roam

Dreams lifted up
So many pies in the sky
U-flying-o's
I duck them as they fly on by

Tomorrow takes care of itself
Today has its trial and its call
Janus he waits at your door

Rising or breaking his fall
You've got your "Time"
And secrets that love has betrayed
The long yellow line down your spine
That your feeling has frayed

Take my hand we may see
Everything we mean to be

When we meet again
Should it be under blanket of night?
All that remains
Is the matter of choice in disguise

Take my hand we may see
Everything we mean to be
Am I with you or you with me?
We have our time then take our leave

Deep in the heart
Where paradox finds its resolve
Long bodies live
They've learned how to bend to absolve

Now desire is the tie
That holds us fast to life
For the sweetness of the honey
Risk the peril of the hive

Now I'm running through your veins
In exchange I know your pain
All the lies have run aground
And to this earth I'm bound

VocĂȘ . . .

Voices of all hue and stripe
Can be heard throughout each day and night
Some are worth aBosley Beachten
But many are not
Yours is to choose

There's a voice of reason
There's a voice of discontent
There's a voice of great dishonesty
And a voice of great lament

But the voice I find most desirable
Is a voice I hear quite much
And I've always found it all I need
It's power can literally touch

Do . . .

(from The Power Of Music by Elena Mannes)
". . . music is so powerful is that sound actually penetrates our bodies: "You know when someone says that a piece of music 'touched me' or 'moved me,' it's very literal. The sound of my voice enters your ear canal and it's moving your eardrum. That's a very intimate act. I am very literally touching you, and when you speak to me, you are literally touching me. . ."

Burning . . .

. . . Grey

Do you mean you were just lying there?

Out of reach of anyone who cares

They have bound you with their loving arms

In the distance I still hear you sound the alarm

Can you see yourself more clearly now?

As if you stepped out of a cloud

Beginning when it seems to end

Above below merging

Your mind doesn't feel

Your fingers don't think

Your eyes do not touch

While the heartbeat goes skipping away

It's now and then you're living

While you wait start the giving

Prove it it's always there

Burning grey without its flare

Obligated but one hand is tied

Constant chattering within your mind

How to leave it no one cares

To hear the silly language spoken there

There's a love that empties its own veins

As they spend they fill up again

The flow traffics through eternity

Carries on in all purity

Now you feel and you think

You see and you touch

With a matrix that springs from your heart

To your hands through your head

Burning grey

Let's Dance . . .

(from wikipedia.com)
The tango (from Latin tango, meaning "touch") is a partner dance that originated in the 1890s along the RĂo de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay, and soon spread to the rest of the world.

Early tango was known as tango criollo (Creole tango). Today, there are many forms of tango extant. Popularly and among tango dancing circles, the authentic tango is considered to be the one closest to the form originally danced in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.

Tango is a dance that has influences from European and African culture. Dances from the candombe ceremonies of former slave peoples helped shape the modern day Tango. The dance originated in lower-class districts of Buenos Aires and Montevideo. The music derived from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe. The word "tango" seems to have first been used in connection with the dance in the 1890s. Initially it was just one of the many dances, but it soon became popular throughout society, as theatres and street barrel organs spread it from the suburbs to the working-class slums, which were packed with hundreds of thousands of European immigrants, primarily Italians.

In the early years of the 20th century, dancers and orchestras from Buenos Aires travelled to Europe, and the first European tango craze took place in Paris, soon followed by London, Berlin, and other capitals. Towards the end of 1913 it hit New York in the USA, and Finland. In the USA around 1911 the word "tango" was often applied to dances in a 2/4 or 4/4 rhythm such as the one-step. The term was fashionable and did not indicate that tango steps would be used in the dance, although they might be. Tango music was sometimes played, but at a rather fast tempo. Instructors of the period would sometimes refer to this as a "North American tango", versus the so-called "Argentine Tango". By 1914 more authentic tango stylings were soon developed,[which?] along with some variations like Albert Newman's "Minuet" tango.

In Argentina, the onset in 1929 of the Great Depression, and restrictions introduced after the overthrow of the HipĂłlito Yrigoyen government in 1930 caused tango to decline. Its fortunes were reversed as tango became widely fashionable and a matter of national pride under the government of Juan PerĂłn. Tango declined again in the 1950s as a result of economic depression and the banning of public gatherings by the military dictatorships; male-only Tango practice—the custom at the time—was considered "public gathering". That, indirectly, boosted the popularity of rock and roll because, unlike Tango, it did not require such gatherings.

Some Things . . .

. . . never need be said AGAIN. . .

At the end of the day
    Back to the drawing board
    Bang for your buck
    Bottom Line
    Close the deal
    Dive deeper
    Drill-down
    End of play
    Game-changing
    Get the ball rolling
    Going forward
    It's on my radar
Keep your eye on the ball
    Low hanging fruit
    Move the needle
    Move the goal post
    No brainer
    On my plate
    Positive momentum
    Reach out
    Run the numbers
    Shift paradigm
    That Being Said
    Think outside the box
    Touch base
    Touch points
    Value added
When the rubber hits the road
    Win-win
